I’m currently sitting here listening to Oldies eating oatmeal with walnuts and blueberries, a spinach smoothie with mango and banana and of course my fuel, coffee.
There’s a lot of hype on Tumblr about green-spinach smoothies. I decided to try one before I judged one but green is not a color I’m comfortable with in a beverage. Here it goes.

I was skeptical…but I followed the advice I’ve been given in the past couple of days. I put an overripe banana in, it helps with the texture.

After I blended it, I it was even less appealing. It was a gross brown-greenish color. But I wasn’t going to waste that food I had to at least try it.


It’s okay, not bad at all. I went easy on the spinach because I was afraid but I can’t tell at all.
The recipe I used was:
1 over ripe banana
1 small handful of spinach
3 medium sized strawberries
1/8 of a cup of skim milk
